I pulled this clip out of an existing hiking video of mine that I did at Pine Mountain, Georgia in the Fall of 2009. At 1.7 ounces, this is a neat little tripod for the backpacker. Comes with a Velcro strap to secure to trees, limbs, railings, etc. The tripod works well with point & shoot cameras. I don't think it's robust enough for SLR or even some Hybrid cameras. If you need a larger tripod, look at the UltraPod II (4 oz) Here's how I carry mine...www.youtube.com This video is Canon Powershot A590 AVI clips recorded at 640 x 480 then rendered to a 640 x 480 WMV format at 1500 Kbps.
