As many of you are aware, from the time Bridging left the cable station we originally filmed at after Bridging Show # 182, until we moved into our own studio space in June of 2010 to film portions of Bridging Show # 252, we were at three different production facilities in Santa Barbara: Alamo Studios, Pilgrim Terrace, and the Center of the Heart. While all these facilities were wonderful at the time, and served Bridging beautifully, we did have to bring all the Bridging production equipment, including cameras, tripods, lighting equipment, audio equipment, sandbags, backdrops, food, drink, etc., etc., etc., INTO each facility the day of the filming and OUT of the facility the same evening.....and it was an amazing process. One of Bridging's most dedicated and talented family/crew, Greg Allyn, decided he wanted to show the entire process as it unfolded on one day in the Bridging filming life. So, after a few trial efforts, Greg set up, on January 9, 2010, a time lapse camera to film the entire process from a fully configured space for the on-going activities of the rented facility (in this case, The Center of the Heart), through set-up, two entire shows (with Eliza Mada Dalian and Ginger Metraux), the break-down of the entire set, etc., to a completely clean and empty room. The music used is the magical manifestation of Omashar, who also did the wondrous music on the opening and closing videos on all Bridging shows. The driving segments were created by locking down the camera on the tripod, starting the recording, driving (duh), parking, ending the recording, then editing out the boring starting and stopping parts. I picked up the Manfrotto Veloce V camera back at Sam's Club. It included a portable manfotto tripod as park of a packaged deal costing . The bag is nicely padded and can fit a camera with up to a 70-200mm lens attached, 3-4 lenses, flash, 15.4" laptop, memory cards, and a tripod either inside or strapped to the outside. I think it is well made and, coupled with the travel tripod, a great deal for . I would recommend looking at the sling version of the backpack too. I would have the sling, but Sam's Club didn't carry it. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and it gives me room to grow. Watch the video to see what I think needs improving in the future versions of this bag. It is certainly not the be all and end all of photo bags. Cheers.

I redid this test to address two complaints about the earlier test, the white balance and the focus. The white balance was set to Auto before, leading to two different color temperatures. This time I set the white balance on both to 3300k (3330k on the Nikon, because it doesn't have 3300k). Also, some people thought that the Canon looked improbably soft in comparison to the Nikon, so I made sure to triple check the focus this time. Both lenses are set to infinity and looked focused through the viewfinder and when zoomed in on the LCD. The lenses are the same Zeiss Distagon 35mm f/2 on each camera. The tripods are also the same.
